ALPHA dogs can be adopted from the sanctuary or off-site at PetsMart or Petco on scheduled adoption days. Check our calendar for dates and times or call 661-391-8212 for information. ALPHA dogs are spayed or neutered, have a 7 in 1 and a rabies shot and are microchipped. The microchip number is registered at no additional cost. The adoption fee is $95. A full refund is given if the dog must be returned within two weeks. Any dog adopted from ALPHA can be returned anytime during its lifetime.
Dogs can be adopted from the sanctuary Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Nelson says: "I was so frightened when I was abandoned in a park in East Bakersfield. I know, Rottweilers are supposed to be tough but how would you feel if you were dumped by the people you love - left all alone in the world. I admit it, I was scared! But then a wonderful human, a friend of Alpha Canine Sanctuary, found me and took me to Alpha. Now I have a home for as long as it takes for a loving family to find me."
